First time to be exposed to music

Be yourself; Everyone else is already taken.

— Oscar Wilde.

This is the first post on my new blog I don’t know how to start but I’ll try my best. So anyways, about myself and how music reached me and inspired me to become who I am right now. Actually, I really don’t know how it all started, all I know is that I listened to my father’s playlist, most likely 80’s music or New Wave as their generation would have called it because according to my father, New Wave was a popular rock music style in the 80’s, that is usually based on punk, but usually more pop in sound and less violent in quality.

Music is my best friend

This part of blog shows how intertwined with music, how our journey begins, how I fell in love into loving music, and how I express all of the hate, the pain, the sadness, and the happiness that I have been dealing with for so long.

Music is always there whenever I need it. At a young age, my family are very very happy and funny people, whenever there’s an event or any joyful occasion, they always play “Dancing queen”, “Mamma Mia” in a joyful way, “My Girl” by the Jackson 5, “Rocky Robin” and many more. Back then, I was kinda of unsocial person, but my family insists me to dance with them, even though I suck at dancing, and there I was, found myself really fond and enjoying music, it was the happiest moment of my life as a child.

As I was growing up, all I hear very energetic music and updated music, some songs like “Yeah 3x”, “Party Rock Anthem”, and also “I Gotta A Feeling” by Black eyed peas and many more. It was fun and problem-free songs, it really makes you feel the joy and excitement and it feels like you don’t have to worry about anything, and just to enjoy life to the fullest, well that’s what I learned back then I was an innocent child who problems nothing but just focuses on his own happiness.

As a fully grown young adult, I have listened to different genre, like jazz, hip hop, indie, and the more I have listened these kinds of music and it made me feel stronger as a person and I have expressed a lot of my feelings in a way most people do, is making songs, to be specific, writing lyrics. It was an enjoyable moment for me, writing music, it made me give time to know myself and it made me understand the artist’s feelings when they’re making music. That’s my inspiration in why I love music and why I want to share my passion for music.
